With a strong background in accounting and finance and academia experience, Joel Wagoner brings his professional experience and knowledge to both the undergraduate and graduate business programs. He will teach Financial Accounting and Corporate Financial Reporting to undergraduates and Managerial Accounting to graduate students in Fall 2013.
Wagoner earned his MBA from Regis University and his BBA from the Wharton Evening School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a certified public accountant, certified management accountant, and certified financial manager. Wagoner is designated an associate of insurance accounting and finance and an associate of research and planning by the Insurance Institute of America. He is certified in Teradata relational database management software and Microstrategy business intelligence software.
Wagoner currently serves on the Schools and Colleges Committee and the Community Involvement Committee of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). In the past, he served on the executive committee of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter and was vice president of professional development of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. he holds memberships with PICPA and the Institute of Management Accountants.
Joel and his wife Jennifer live in Jenkintown, PA and in their spare time, they enjoy walking in local parks such as Tyler State, Peace Valley, Lorimer, the Pennypack Ecological Trust and Washington State Parks.
