How Hybrid Classes Work

DeSales University is dedicated to holding the quality of all courses, regardless of delivery method, to the highest standards.

About Hybrid Courses

ACCESS classes are scheduled to meet Monday through Thursday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for a total of 24 hours of class time. Saturday classes also meet for 3 hours each week.

While you'll be in the classroom for more than 50% of the time, hybrid courses do include an online component of various activities to keep you engaged beyond the face-to-face environment. You'll complete online and offline assignments like reading relevant articles, watching movies or videos and writing a response, searching websites, participating in threaded discussion or/and debates. If you've taken any "hybrid" courses or online courses, you already know how it works.

We believe this combination of classroom and online learning best meets the demands of working adults. If you're only taking one course per session, having to meet on campus once per week cuts your travel time in half. Becoming more engaged with online learning increases your technological ability to work in what we all know has become a "global" environment. Best of all, the classroom/online combination helps you make the most of your time while maintaining the high quality standards for our accelerated program.
