DeSales University offers a choice of medical plans through Highmark: PPO Blue Plan (zero deductible), PPO Blue Plan with deductible ($500/$1500 maximum per family deductible). The University contributes various dollar amounts toward health care premiums. Coverage is available the first of the month after a full time employee’s date of hire.
According to the DeSales University Spousal Coordination of Benefits Policy, Spouses of employees are ineligible for University coverage in any health care insurance plan if such spouse is eligible for coverage at his/her place of employment. This is also true for adult children under the age of 26 who are eligible for coverage.
