Although we moved into our new home in the Priscilla Payne Hurd Science Center a few years ago, we are still excited by all the opportunities it provides. This new facility gives us state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Environmental, and Human Performance. We also have a new multi-media teaching auditorium and faculty offices.

As exciting as our new home is, though, it would be nothing without our team of professional educators and support staff. The educators in our department represent individual specialties ranging from biotechnology and exercise science to ecology and neuroanatomy among the biologists. Among the chemists their specialties include pharmacueutical development, fuels chemistry and instrumental analysis.

Each of our students gets to know these caring professionals as teachers, advisors, and research mentors during their time here.
